PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency
PUB is a statutory board under the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) that oversees water issues in an integrated way. PUBs mission is to ensure Singapore has a reliable and secure water supply, and protect it from inland and coastal flooding.
Through the Four National Taps (local catchment water, imported water, NEWater, desalinated water), PUB has ensured a diversified and sustainable supply of water for Singapore. PUB also manages both inland and coastal flood risks holistically, and leads and coordinates whole-of-government efforts in ensuring coastal and flood resilience.
PUB actively engages with stakeholders including residents and businesses to promote water conservation and flood resilience, emphasising that everyone has a vital role in safeguarding Singapores precious water resources and being flood-resilient against the backdrop of climate change.
